I almost typed Homu in pink (blasphemy). So this is my first time drawing a Homura and it was quite fun. She is in her alternative form which is an older and crazy long limbed Homura (seeking Madoka). It seems that so far there are 3 series of couples for Orange Yuri to draw and produce:

Shizuru x Natsuki
Fang x Vanille
Homu x ? (Madoka probably)

Back from a hiatus again

It's been quite long since I drew something and/or even update here. I've been known to shut myself down on few occassions. Thankfully, I resolved the source of the problem.

In any case, this is part of my first sketch since my 'afk hiatus' so I was eager to post something, anything as soon as possible. Although it is messy, I hope it will be part of a series of "Fang Service" if you will. I also have some translations to do from a website. That will be on the next update. The author has a bunch of the webcomic that I want to translate, but it seems that their website along with their email is in construction.

Well, just browsing this Nanoha webpage which seems to be a Nanoha small doujin event (which I'll get to on another post), I found various blogs by the authors. One of which is this one site that has a ton of Nanoha webcomics mostly from the lyrical (1st) season. These are gag material and pretty good (Bonus points for Yuuno the ferret bashing >:3)

The blog will have to move into a new name but under the same google blogger domain. I just realized that the current url just doesn't look well as when it was established without a direction (not that there is much of a direction now however).

It looks to be a huge hassel however, and the contacts as well as links will have to be updated. Most of the contributors and contacts will be lost which is regrettable.

I've been a super fan of 2D mmos, mainly Ragnarok Online, so when there was a DS version of the late favorite, in korean no less, I was pretty interested that my DS wouldnt go to waste. Failure occured though when it wouldnt go past opening. Same thing occured with Princess Maker 4 (k). It leads me to believe that there is a block of some sort for non-asian systems becaue the same occured for PSP's, Nanoha (j)! Asian games hate me.

Ugh.. anyway, next are some Touhou project and thinking of Maihime project.

Also, there is a Nanoha movie out now. The setting seems to be based on early first series. There are no info on subs (seems like I'm requesting on my own thread here :q). There is a Tai sub on works however so I'll check that out if anything. Preview. That person also worked on an animated original which is pretty amazing.

After the game, they would mostly likely be actresses, ("talents" in korea) so here is them auditioning. Vol 12

As you know, I've stopped the translations for various reasons but I've kept up with the series so I thought I would update with a vain summary from the latest vol.

There isnt much development between the triangle that has been developing between Yvienne, Laraiette and Krohiten so far. In this story, the group has just defeated an apocalyptic monster in form of a bunny. But much with much sacrifice which results in Yvienne using up all her energy and puts her in a mind coma. Only Krohiten can bring her back do to his dragon haxor powers and Laraiette, viligently follows. They eventually find her in her deepest area of her mind and free her.

Some interesting things to note: It seems the character shown before called Insanity, has been using Yvienne's appearance. Her true appearance is a small snake with two heads. Laraiette doesnt seem to like her at all even in Yvienne appearance. (It would have been good to have a 2nd Yvienne for her in case the real one goes for Krohiten :p..) There is another yuri pair, Ecliche and Eutice. They are on the cover of vol 11 and up there on the image.

Hmm, I dont have much to say or update. Umi Mono and Cannan is almost over and there is not too much to say about the two surprisingly. I tried to draw Cannan but failed do to lack of skill. A fic would suit Cannan better, though not as much as MaiHime.

FF XIII and Kof and PSP

Finally, summer is almost at an end. I did not have a summer break do to study+work but this labor day will be a well needed break. Catching up on PSP is one of my plans ;; but not DS.

New games like Monster Hunter Unite and Disgaea 2 is gonna be exciting.

What I also caught was FF 13 and it's main character. She looks sort of like a mix of Squall (as with the same weapon type) and Claire from RE2 as she is a tomboy. I never really liked the FF series after FF 8, but hopefully this will be good.

Lastly, King of Fighters released another unlimited for PS 2 which means more Kula and Whip. They brought most of the old characters back too.

They are quite uncharacteristic and Alice looks pretty weird, orz..

Canaan should be talked about as it is a pretty good show. I dont think I would really enjoy drawing Canaan herself, rather Alphard seems more fun. Canaan looks to be good for fanfic but I never really wrote one ever. I'm up to ep 6 now and it's really unclear how everyone will fare. What I do know is that I think Canaan is smitten with Marisa and vise versa and Ling? is batshit crazy for her sister Alphard :p. The latter two wont end well but never the less, she is just insane in a good way.

Um.. what can I say about this show? lol. I started on ep 3 and kinda liked it. The whole show is eerily similar to Uta Kata however. I did like Uta Kata btw, but the end had much to be desired and this show will probably be in the same spirits as Uta Kata.
I do like Marin's bubbly personality and how she is to her sister I guess.

My top 10 fave anime

I've decided to just list some of my favorite top 10 just for the heck of it... Mind you that I have Very Limited watchings, especially the recent things. Most of these are Yuri but some are not. Derived mostly in order of good music, characterization and nostalgia, here they are:

10) Dirty Pair Flash: A classic 90s anime. The main duo did have a nice contrast relationship going. That's what I want to say but they cant stand each other. This also has a second season but the writing and art is altered for the worse.

9) Hidamari Sketch x365: A quirky show that I have grown to like unexpectedly. The simple yet effective effects and well constructed characterization made this anime good.

8) Noir: Mireille and Kirika, assasins. And one of them is a sexy french assasin.

7) Kiddy Grade: A space sci fi theme with what I thought was really good animation at the time. I liked both of the leads and had good contrast chemestry.

6) Read or Dream: An action story regarding 3 sisters that can manipulate paper.

5) KnM: A very touching Yuri that will leave the viewer stunned right to the end.

4) Simoun:

A sci fi universe where everyone is born as a girl and later has a choice of changing sex or staying female. They pilot aircrafts of war. The main two leads were good as well as the supporting characters.

3) Mai Hime: Shizuru and Natsuki, HS students with powers. And one of them is super sexy. I really liked the main trio as well as the ED.

2) Madlax: A story about a mercenary and a loli. What can I say? I really like the OP/ED and the mystery behind the two leads really got me. Plus there is a villan named Friday Monday. Genius, lol.

1) Pani Poni Dash:

A high school comedy that satires with many references. Unlike Azumanga, which is also a HS comedy, PPD's focus is not on the daily HS comedy but a variety of quirky general media satire.

A look at Ciel 10-11 and pics

A short look at Ciel's new storyline (Mild Spoiler)
So the vols 10 and 11 of Ciel came and overall I am happy with the story.
In a nut shell, the leader of the Pentagon Crisis squad whom Yvienne and Lariette belong to is introduced with her familiar. A doomsday scenario is in effect with a giant monster in form of a bunny. And Yvienne is still a tease to Lariette lol. If what Yvienne said is true and that she lives for money, then she is a fool since Lariette is loaded lol. I guess Yvienne is a total fool :P.. It is unclear of how this triangle will resolve.

I never watched K-On or any anime for a while now but I was curious as to who the bass player is on K-On as a bass player myself. I would have drawn anyone with the bass guitar but to my surprise, it was Mio, the fan favorite cute xD. I guess her quiet, timid personality and supporting role matches the instrument.

Ehh.. as for Ciel, someone complained that one of the raws are incorrect, I think vol 6. I will upload it soon once I have a bit more time :q.

My Ciel vol 10 and 11 should be arriving soon and I'm quite anxious :q. Lets say that it is uncertain if I'll continue scanlating or translating xD...

So I'm preparing to buy some comics from jp Amazon for Yuri Hime and etc. Ciel comes to mind too but I still am not sure if I want the latest 10-11. They will only cost 10 usd each amazingly enough but I am afraid of what I would see on them. If only I had a japan source that is as cheap... T.T

Touhou Sayakata Tea Mansion

After reading a doujin of Touhou by "Sayakata Tea Mansion", specifically "Then Break Through the Night!", I got into Touhou. My second favorite from Sayakata would have to be "Crazy Slow Pain", a Alice/Marissa doujin. Thinking it was the sequel to 20 weeks later, the zombie movie, I was expecting a zombie surprise in the begining. After 30 mins of expecting a zombie rush, it never came and I realized then that this was NOT the sequel. A huge let down to say the least.

So far my lil project is going well minus an actual start. I wanted to involve real vampires in my story but it is becoming hard to do so because that is not the focus. That kind of decision is actually causing a dilema right now. ;;

Here is the last half of vol 5. It is not completely finished because I felt that it was not really interesting at the last few pages so forgive me for that...

Ciel and the relationship between the main character and Laraiette will be very blurry and frustrating past vol 7 and onward to vol 9. For that reason and the possibility that it is serialized in USA, the translation project will end with vol 5.

This may be quite late but Gokujou Drops has finished the first volume. And I've been meaning to post another pic. Acutally, I looked at a blank paper and thinking what to do, my mind was -completely- blank! so I opted for a Gokujou one.

Two funny shows that brought me back from a long "A" withdrawl.

The loli that obsesses for Kanade. Here are some of her doing just that lol. As for Yuki, she also is revealed to be an object of obsession by her little sister Shi-chan. Shi is quite emo because of the bond of the twins w/o her I think. But all she cares about for is Yuki. So she looks and acts like a loli version of Kanade.

Lucky Star Ova was both funny and bizzare. Kona pushes more for Kagamin being a "Tsun". There are many MMORPG gags which I think is Final Fantasy online. Lastly, a live scene of Aiko and Minaru tops the bizzare but funny scale.

It's winding to a boring end of summer and I'm anticipating start of classes on tue. Did you know that Starcraft is still a big deal in korea? the shows were actually kinda fun. It is fun to watch the announcers and players act like they took steriods.

Much anticipated Wildrose 2 is here! Generally speaking, Wildrose is know for more exotic yuri with sex scenes. vol 1 was pretty explicit but vol 2 has toned down the "romp" scenes but nevertheless the quality is top notch! Expect Chi-Ran and etc including DoroPanda's alternative Shizuru x Natsuki. Really, one can never have enough of DoroPanda's ShizNat in all forms.

Review and Vol 7 sample

Vol 9 came today and so now I can make a good overall review.
All in all, the story is interesting although I do not agree with some of the subjects it touched. Namely about rape and emo-ness. January is too damn emo.

L-chan is the main reason Koyot3 likes Ciel. Too bad Y-chan makes it so hard for L-chan. Y-chan suddenly develops feelings for *not January* in vol 8 uncharacteristiclly. For L and Y, their relationship is.. difficult to conclude if it will form. Orz

Upon reading the vol 7, and vol 8, I was not happy with the new changes in vol 8. All I can say is, poor Lariatte. Tomoyo from CCS comes to mind. And the worst part is, the resolution is all cleared up all nicely and happily even at the expence suddenly erasing all the character emotions. Vol 9 is going to be ordered next week.. but only because the author did a cliff hanger. I dont think it will change my decision.

I apologize for the people that followed the releases. The last half of vol 5 is done but will not be edited and released. Thank you Kiwi, typesetter/editor for the work!

Yup. From a cruise to caribbean and now cozzily watching the olympics. I tell u, the opening ceremony by China was awe inspiring. Graphic novels are going to hook me in. I know it. Ever since the preview trailors from the Dark Knight which included an amazing amount of action movies: 007 sequel, Mummy 3 with Jet Lee, and Watchmen. That just converted me to an action junkie from former scary movie junkie. But I mentioned these because Watchmen as I found out, was a graphic novel! With a bunch of emo "superheroes" and a main char named Dr Manhattan, I'm sold instantly!!

DS "reviews"

The struggle to find good DS games continue. Lately, there is 0% MMO activity which is unprecidented. Whats up with that!? Why am I not excited about RagnarokOnline 2??

Summon Night Twin Age: Started off with alot of excitement. But realized that the dialogue and the plot were one of the worst I've seen. Never the less, beat it just to see if the plot gets any better. I was throughly wrong.

Final Fantasy A2: Reletively good. It is pretty much the very same game as the first title except few new additions here and there. There is a hard mode, but I'm already getting frustrated with the normal. The only problem I have other than the game play is the art of the two main chars. (Who's that?? I haven't reached this far)

Etrian Odyssey 2: Pretty much the same as the first title except some add ons. The first game was difficult, I couldnt take more than up to the 4th level of dungeon. But this is just as hard, if not harder. Some new characters such as the gunner and samurai are a great addition, but at the same time, the magic attackers like alchemists and hexers have been nurfed. They do not have the ability to regain their TP. Thanks to this, I fear the bosses 100% more.

Unrelated note:
Summon Night for DS was pretty bad. After finishing the game, it left me with little satisfaction.
First of all, the dialogue. It was very medicore and often I cared none for it from both the plot and the characters "interaction". The previous GBA games had much better dialogue and plot...
Anyway, next game would be Ethrian Odyssy 2. I tried the first one long ago and it was quite hard.

Upon feeling like browsing for Ciel info on the web, I found a good amount of solid info. In Baka-Updates, it is confirmed that Tokyo-Pop picked up Ciel as it states "English publisher: Tokyo-Pop". That pretty much confirms it 100% from what Korean-Manhwa stated that it Might be in the works and that they are pending scanlation. So far, it is up to vol 8 and ongoing :o. I feel great about this as it will give Ciel more readers. I'll be very happy if Tokyo-Pop maintains the original context of the manga intact... which shouldn't be too hard to do. When will their release be? I dont know but it will be very long. So far, I have done myself 1/3 of vol 4. And on track to finishing all of vol 5. I picked up slack and am working fairly fast at making the scripts for vol 5. But upon finding out that the publisher is now confirmed to be releasing this, I think that just blindly releasing translated scans will not be good. So with that said, Vol 5 is going to be completed and the rest is uncertain.

After posting this pic, I had nothing to say. So what came about in an attempt to post something is what appears to be a strange introspection... It is to be ignored =3

Riding down the stream of stream of the valley's lake is a pine log. The ride is fast in both the descending and in ascending wave. Fast and confusing, wave after wave of going up and down continuously, the ride comes to and abrupt finale as the log propells up from the stream's end. The log jets into a cave and drops by the entrance. Inside the cave lies a Yeti sitting cross legged directly in front of the log. The Yeti asks the log, "Did you find it? I only want one answer". But the log had too many possible answers and was thus unable to come up with any answer at all. The Yeti, seeing this replied, "Then you.."

Its been very long or felt like very long since the last yurihime. And I never really put "buying these things" in such open admission, but I should put it out there as it may be fun to do so. And since I cannot read a since word for these , my take on these books are by pictures only and what I think is written (lol).

Nanaki 3: Surprisingly enjoyable. Nanaki it seems is super genki and although she had feelings for a different girl in vol 1, she is now super dedicated to the green head there.
YuriHime 12: Like Erica san mentioned, it is completely agreeable that this was like a mixed goodie. Kind of like those box chocolates where I like the coconuts, enjoy the caramel, dont care much for the taffy and dislike the cherry.
MMM chocolate choconuts.
GirlxGirlxBoy: This was extremely good. It is a story about the trio as best inseparatable, friends. But three is a crowd for one of the girls as she harbors feelings for the other girl ever since they first met in kindergarden age. The only problem is that the last half is filled with angst so it was hard to read (look). But despite the other similar books, this one ends happy ^___^.
Konata Kagamin fanbook: Is surprisingly enjoyable too. 90 pages or so of nothing but Kagamin's Tusundre-ism. Every chapter is filled with how much Konata can push Kagamin's buttons.

Mmorpgs and orz

For a long time, I played two mmorpg. Ragnarok and Maple Story. Looking back, they were fun games and both are very good. But as a person who tends to try and reach high levels, the result to reach that goal consumes alot of time. So much that I missed out on art and such. So, these days, I pretty much dropped all mmorpgs. They both will be missed but I have stopped Ragnarok long ago and recently few months ago dropped Maple Story. They will both be missed but I wont get back "into" them until I feel I've done enough of the other hobbies. There is still DS however. It is still tolorated as it does not have the tendency to make you play at a certain time and compete with others (which comsumes so much time).

I just got a DJ control thing so I can try and mix music from the computer. It's niffy enough. Plus, I really need to improve on golf and tennis.

Nano Fate pics are mostly cute and fluffy and thats the way I like it. But the look of Nano here is amazing - as if she has totally lost her mind because of what happened to Fate.

So.. update on Ciel? it will come. I did work on it yesterday and now I have two editors - one missing though, but I'm glad I have any help there is.

Yvienne is thinking to herself that she's great because she is good at bargaining.So for shopping errands, she always has money left over because she buys them cheaper and that she can spend on the left over (lol). Yvienne thinks it would be good if Lari could come. *Lari says to Yvienne that as her partner, she will work harder to gain magic so that Yvienne would not be embarrassed. She is in extra studies.Yvienne wants to save more money so that she can buy decorations for her and Lariette's room.

Yvienne see's the two strangers and offers to help them. Then she asks them for a reward for helping them.

They both shout "rainbow dressup" and Yvienne is more amazed at the outlandish clothing than that they used magic.
Yvienne tries to leave but is forced to be their tour guide. Then she mentions she knows professor Crowhiton. That they had a past.

They introduce themselves as Marion Everiet, and husband Sca Everiet.Then they go shopping.

They have dinner and Marion tells a tale of a princess who fell in love with an Arc Dragon.

Yvienne goes to get a horse carrier and Marion Everiet talks to Crowhiton that it is hard to see him. She mentions that she forgot how many children she bore. Then she mentions that she has "forgotten" and the love with her husband Sca Everiet has gone cold. She says that she forgets humans but it is different for an Arc Dragon such as him.

Marion says to Crowhiton however that she the difference between them is that she is an incredibily old human and he is a very young Arc Dragon.

The rain stops. Yvienne calls Marion Unee* which is used by a girl to address an older girl in a polite way.

January follows Tota to someplace where students shouldn't be. He thinks that this will get him
expelled. Tota mentions that he is on an errand from Crowhiten.

He asks the ladies for someone named kitty. Then he goes alone to see her alone and wants to know what
happened to her sister. He is looking for these people named Ghost Knights.

P.50-P.51
Octovia yells at Yvienne because she did not bring anything from her errand. Crowhiten asks Octovia if she doesn't like Yvienne because of jealousy. Octovia is in tears and calls Crowhiten a "dumb poophead" (lol).

P.51 - P.53
January takes some poison and says he doesn't have anything to live for. Octovia is talking to Jubilate Jade about the thing Crowhiten said to her.Jubilate mentions on a call that Saski is dead, and that Lady Lightspear is missing. It seems that Saski was the familiar to the queen and now that Lady Lightspear is has lost her familiar, she is a loose cannon.

P.56 - P.60
A "Lilian" equivalent ceremony for Ms Blue bell. Yvienne and Lariette meets Tota. He congrats Lariette on her advance to magic. Tota thinks that everyone must be out having fun at the celebration and decides to visit his roommate. January is locked in by someone and feels he doesnt want to get out. It seems to be a basement of sort and he decides to clean it.

P.60 - P.63
Various men ask them out. Yvienne thinks that because of Lariette, there are many more of men's attention. Lariette is slightly winded by this. Then a reporter guy shows up and greets Yvienne.
Lariette is hiding behind Yvienne. He warns them that a ghost knight is loose. The guy suggests to Lady Lightspear about going to see her nephew January.

P.64 - 68
Tota see's January's jacket and thinks that he didnt go outside. January doesn't yell out because he doesn't want to be a bother to someone. Eventually tota finds him. He says to January that he is troublesome. January feels that he must stand up for himself and do everything by himself or he will die. Then Tota says that he should have found him sooner.

P.69 - 74
Lariette has declared tota to a duel because she has asked for the female students to be able to use the training room but was turned down. It seems that as Lariette is from a family of fencers, she has asked the sword club captain permission for all female students to be able to use the room. But he would allow that only if she can hold a fight with Tota. Although Tota won, he allowed the use of the facilty to the female students. Lariette thinks that Tota is strange.

P.75 - Last
Crowhiten is volunteered to go down the school's basement to retrieve food ingredients as well as Yvienne.
